This shirt features a previously unpublished Edwin Edwards federal prison mugshot obtained through a FOIA request to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, paired with the legendary 1991 line “Vote for the Crook. It’s Important.” The phrase became famous during Edwards’s runoff against David Duke and remains one of Louisiana politics’ most memorable slogans.

Edwards later served federal prison time following his conviction on racketeering and fraud-related charges tied to riverboat casino licensing.

A portion of proceeds from each shirt will support efforts to help candidates run for public office.
